​Travel is powerful. Travel is soul shaking. 

That’s what inspired me to relocate to Lisbon, Portugal.

Portugal ranks top of all European countries when it comes to top destinations for expats. It also ranked highly in the ‘feeling at home’ category, coming in second. Its popularity stems from its favorable climate, economic development, excellent education opportunities, and outstanding quality of life. 

For me a shift was necessary. A shake. A jolt. That impact connects with other human beings in another part of the world -- person to person and soul to soul -- that shakes us to the core and allows us to glimpse the infinite nature of our world and the limitless possibilities that are there for us.

Moving abroad is a huge commitment. Lisbon is a beautiful city! Moving to Lisbon required me to give a lot of love for the experience, a paradigm shift in my thinking and a lot of perspective. The country of Portugal supported my style of life, the climate I love, and all over the quality of life I wanted to achieve for myself. I left behind my political frustrations, gun culture and a car-bound lifestyle to live in relative peace and safety in a city that was charming, walkable, and welcoming.
